The men and women from Numenor settled in Gondor.  The Kings were the direct decendents from the children of Luthien and Beren.  They were given the choice to become Elves or Men.  I'm currently re-reading the Simillarion so my facts are a bit fuzzy right now and will update later when I have a chance to look everything up rather than winging it like I'm doing right now.

Anyway, I'm making Gondor the Gateway on my site.
